Minimum Case Parameters
Minimum size group is two employees.
Minimum deductible for Occupational Accident: $500
Minimum deductible, PEI (Primary Employer’s Indemnity): $1000
Maximum CSL for Occupational Accident: $1 million
Maximum CSL, PEI (Primary Employer’s Indemnity): Up to $2 million
Maximum benefit period: 156 weeks.
Quoting Requirements
- Group name, location, and nature of business
- Proposed effective date
- Requested plan of benefits
- Census including monthly earnings and description of duties
- Actual carrier loss runs for three years; including date of accident, injury details, paid and reserve amounts.

Primary Employer’s Indemnity Insurance (PEI)
GWI has been a long time provider of Occupational Accident Coverage and now we have expanded service to agents and their clients to include PEI. The PEI program includes:
- Starr Indemnity & Liability Company
- Policy Aggregate up to $25 MM
- Per Occurrence Aggregate up to $10 MM
- Combined Single Limits from $100,000 to $2 million per covered person
- Coverage Period Options are 52, 104, or 156 weeks
- Deductibles $1000 and higher
- Mandatory Binding Arbitration included
- Comprehensive ERISA documents available
- Claims Administration by Texas Healthcare Foundation
- Commissions paid weekly
Amount of benefits provided depends upon the plan selected and premium will vary with the amount of benefits selected.
In addition to these policy highlights, some additional benefits are available, including:
- Waiver of Subrogation
- Occupational Disease and Cumulative Trauma Coverage

This is not a policy of workers’ compensation insurance. The employer does not become a subscriber to the workers’ compensation system by purchasing this policy, and if the employer is a non-subscriber, the employer loses these benefits which would otherwise accrue under the workers’ compensation laws. The employer must comply with the worker’s compensation law as it pertains to non-subscribers and the required notifications that must be filed and posted.
